It's Jacket Season

How bout ‘em lightweight jackets?

It’s the time we’ve all been waiting for! While shedding our down coats and boots for t-shirts and sneakers, everyone is looking for that new spring jacket to carry them into warmer times. Now having one jacket is never enough when the weather is begging you to stunt. The season so far has been good to us with a few classics returning to the shop and a couple new takes on our favourite go-tos.

If you’re in the market for a different kind of jean jacket look no further than the Wallaby Pocket Tail Jacket (top right) by Tender. A denim jacket in the cut of a shirt is totally left field, but we’re not complaining.

When clouds roll in, you gotta equip yourself with a hood. The Daniel (middle right) by Norse Projects is a DWR treated jacket made from poplin and is probably the cleanest spring coat we have. Sassafras on the other hand combines their constant functionality with some of the coolest black-watch fabric we’ve ever seen in the Bud Jacket (middle left). Last but not least is the reigning champ of weather protection. Patagonia comes correct with their all purpose Torrentshell (bottom left, also comes in black). If you want to feel like you’re barely wearing a jacket then the Houdini (bottom right) is it; it’s really too light to comprehend.

When the sun’s back out and those sunglasses need something to go with try the Watch Coat (bottom middle) from Carhartt. It’s a step up from the classic coaches jacket with its internal lining and water repellent outer. If coaches aren’t your style, Deus and Alpha Industries have teamed up again to bring you some embroidered bombers (top left) in black, green, and navy to cap off the white tee and jeans looks.
