Spotlight: Engineered Garments

What can be said about Engineered Garments? Lead designer Daiki Suzuki has quietly built one of the most uniquely understated brands in modern menswear and has kept with a distinct air of originality while doing so. Engineered Garments has no contemporaries. A seasonal collection boasts everything from simple yet technical military jackets, trousers, vest, coats, and cloaks to graphic t-shirts, bags, hats, scarfs, and bandanas. Not shying away from experimentation with fabric and silhouette while maintaining significant cultural and historical cues at every turn, EG stands the test of time as a breakout star under the umbrella of some of todays most celebrated Japanese menswear.
Uniquely so, all of EG's products are produced in a modest Queens New York factory. We've seen (some of) the vintage archive that is stored there for reference in future designs; it's no joke!
Seen here is some of our current offering from Engineered Garments where you'll notice pieces containing elements we discussed: military based pieces with a spin, elaborate fabrics and unique silhouettes, and quirky yet technical details. In keeping with our own personal philosophy towards clothing, we select pieces from each collection that we've come to know and love as staples and fixtures of the brand as well as standout items that exhibit a fun, carefree side in an often all-too-serious menswear world. To pull that off, we owe thanks to the range and dynamics of each of Daiki's enormous collections; each more impressive than the last.
