Summer Essentials: Shoes!
We’re officially 3 weeks into summer and the question remains: how’s your summer kick game lookin’? Have you got what you need to shine from your toes to your ankles? The Military Canvas Training shoes from The Real McCoy’s are a black canvas high-top with white contrast stitching entirely made in Japan featuring a vulcanized sole and a simplified yet classic silhouette taking you right back to WWII times. You won’t be sent into battle, but you’ll get a bit of the vibe of what soldiers used to train and you’ll look awesome doing it.
We’re New Balance finatics at L&F and our hands down favourite silhouette is easily the 997. Why not have a clean grey colourway for the summer? The M997JOL is exactly what you’re looking for. That clean suede/mesh paneling gives a fresh look to the 997 with a navy ’N’ logo for just enough contrast. Part of New Balance’s made in USA collection, this joint also features some premium pebble grain leathers. You can expect some crazy comfort as well sitting on that Encap midsole. Seems right!
Let’s go across the pond for a sec to sneaker industry favourite Diemme. Say hello to the Marostica Low in a light grey suede; a taste of true italian luxury. Every piece of this shoe has been finished with complete finesse; from the gusseted double-layer tongue to the super buttery premium suede upper. Made in Italy, the Marostica also features hiking style lace loops reminiscent of some of Diemme’s boot styles. It’s a treat for the eyes.
We’re yet to mention a staple - a foundational shoe in any man’s wardrobe - a shoe that every and all must own at least one pair of - the shoe you will probably wear the most! The Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star why of course! This is a C-LA-S-S-I-C and you gotta rock your classics in the summer. What more must be said?
