  • Commissioned following the onset of the Korean War, the M-1951 was meant as a high-quality yet cheaper replacement for the M-1948, which was both heavy and expensive to manufacture. The M-1951 is made from a cotton poplin, as opposed to the cotton sateen of the M-1948 and retains the wool-lined pocket bags, as well as the adjustable cuffs, waist, and hem.
