- Let's talk about these pants! A llittle history behind the name, Alain Gerbault. A French Venturer, who is known to be the first solo navigator who sailed the Atlantic from East to West. No big deal right? Well, after WWI he would become a professional tennis player. You know, casually becoming a world famous athlete on top of all his other accolades. During his tennis career he wore these pants to play tennis in...not the denim version but the linen version. At a time where people wore pants to play tennis. We don't recommend wearing these pants while engaging in sports BUT, if you are heading to a sporting event well then that's a different story...
