The Real McCoy's

Created in an effort to never run out of vintage apparel, Hitoshi Tsujimoto founded The Real McCoy’s in order to create the most accurate vintage reproductions possible. Focusing primarily on American military / sportswear from the 1930s-50s, they study all sewing and construction methods, mimicking them to achieve true authenticity. Where possible, pieces are produced using the same machinery from the past. The Real McCoy’s produce their sweatshirts, sweatpants and tee shirts on original loopwheel machines, now running on roughly 75 years of service. Each McCoy’s piece is made in Japan, constructed by highly skilled craftspeople who meticulously carry out each procedure. There are zero compromises when it comes to fit, construction, and fabrication. Fabrics are all bespoke, as are zippers, labels, rivets, buttons and trims. The Real McCoy’s clothing is split into 4 sub-labels, each focusing on a different aesthetic:

Buco produces ‘garments and accessories inspired by motorcycle culture’, including their iconic J-series jackets. Joe McCoy is the Western- Americana label, with workwear-inspired pieces. Double Diamond produces work- and dress-wear from the early 20th century, and The Real McCoy’s Japan mainline makes classic American military, workwear and sportswear.
