Elmer By Swany
The Elmer story starts in 1893, when founder Elmer Little moved to the town of Gloversville, New York to pursue a career in glove-making. The name ‘Gloversville’ isn’t a coincidence– it was known as the glove capital of the world, and the previous name ‘Stump City’ just wasn’t paying respect to the work being done there. Elmer started a namesake brand with his sons, which quickly became one of the most successful glove manufacturers in the U.S. Today, Elmer’s gloves are designed in Japan, and they still maintain the quality that Elmer became known for.
