A staple of the U.S. Navy during WWII, the N-1 Deck Jacket was built for sailors facing the worst the cold could throw at them. The shell is cut from a thick cotton cord cloth with the hand of a grosgrain or jungle cloth, finished with wool rib cuffs, internal waist adjusters and a 1940s-style bell-shaped zipper. The body, sleeves and collar are lined in a 50/50 alpaca and wool pile.
Fits true to size. The measurements look large on paper, but the bulky lining and heavy shell take up room, so it wears smaller than it measures. Take your usual size.
