This is the big-ticket piece: a Japanese horsehide leather jacket. The Japanese horsehide in void black is denser and stiffer than cowhide and takes a while to break in. Over time it develops creases and a sheen shaped by how you wear it. It’s unlined, which keeps it lighter and lets it shape to you faster, but makes it less warm. In a Toronto winter you’d need to layer under it. A two-way Lampo zip, zip-closing jet front pockets, zip sleeve vents and decorative topstitching under the collar. Clean and minimal.
