DESCRIPTION
Michael Fong grailed a second-hand Phigvel leather jacket from FW2014 on one of our favourite Japanese marketplace sites. And, just like many of his online purchases, it didn’t fit.
It was a beautifully unlined roughout jacket, with a clean, smooth finish on the inside. So beautiful, in fact, that it ended up being taken away from him by… well, that’s another story.
For our 15th anniversary, we asked Phigvel if they could make that same leather jacket again - this time in both smooth leather and suede. They said yes, but they also told us they probably wouldn’t be able to make the suede version unlined. Achieving that same clean finish on the inside would be too difficult.
And you know what?
Phigvel did it again.
They’re unlined.
