The Ampezzo is based on the classic approach shoe, the shoe climbers wear to walk to the bottom of a climb. It keeps the extended lacing that runs toward the toe and the protective rubber toe guard of basecamp trekking footwear, but drops the bulk of a traditional mountaineering boot. The result is a sleek, lightweight low-top that's easy to wear every day. Writing this felt like a PSA. I'm just waiting for the start to come across the screen...the more you know.
