About the product

  • Let’s start from the origins of the word. The term comes from the end-of-the-Nineteenth-century-English hop-sack, the sack for hops, I imagine this is what they carried the hops in for the beers. The first part was real, that second part I have no idea. Now...over the years, the use has obviously changed and Hopsack today is a fabric for clothing, essentially a very open weave or a variation of the common plain weave in which the warp and weft create a simple checked pattern. If you look close enough you'll understand what I mean.
