There's a story behind this, but before we get there, let's talk about the Sea Island cotton. There are very few cottons with a longer staple length than Sea Island, which is what gives it its uniquely soft and silky feel. If you're wondering about the name, Sea Island cotton is named after the area of South Carolina in the US, where it was once grown. Now, throw in the V NECK silhouette and we were sold.
Now the story. Fong brought in a beautiful cotton Auralee V neck sweater in grey that we fawned over. We waited for the day we could all get it...while it may not be Auralee, today is the day!
